Kenya supports effort to create an effective multilateralism

Kenya supports efforts of the UN Secretary General António Guterres to establish a system where governments work together to achieve global goals.

President William Samoei Ruto said effective multilateralism will ensure equity in resource allocation, security and participation of all in decision making.

He noted that the ongoing talks about climate change and regional security are so important that they call for forthrightness and commitment.

“The conversation about a new world order is real. We are having a similar discourse in Kenya about climate change and its effects. We must all engage in this talk.”

The President said this on Wednesday when he met members of the UN High-Level Advisory Board on Effective Multilateralism led by Former President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at State House, Nairobi.
